Control Strategies

USA patent numbers 5,181,552, 5,228,302 5,337,577. Other USA and foreign patents pending.

Cooling:

First stage of cooling: The chilled water valve shall modulate to maintain the room temperature setpoint. On a rise in room temperature the chilled water valve shall modulate open and on a drop in room temperature the valve shall modulate closed.
Second Stage of Cooling: Cycle the TRICOIL® pump on and off for the second stage of cooling. When the chilled water valve is 100% open and on a further rise in room air temperature above the first stage setpoint, stop the TRICOIL® pump. On a drop in room air temperature start the pump.

Heating:

The hot water valve shall modulate to maintain the room air temperature setpoint. On a drop in room air temperature the heating hot water valve shall modulate open and on a rise in room air temperature the valve shall modulate closed.
