Our patented TRICOIL® air conditioning system is an efficient, cost-effective method of enhancing the indoor air quality through humidity control. The system is very flexible to suit a wide range of applications. We can accommodate any amount of outside air from 0% to 100% for direct space temperature and humidity control or for introduction to the space by other systems as preconditioned ventilation air. We have provided systems for schools, hospitals, process applications, hotels, museums, retail, theme parks, and residences. The method is particularly well suited for humid climate air conditioning design including variable air volume systems, constant air volume systems, multizone units, and units dedicated to pretreatment of outside air.

The TRICOIL® method uses a simple hydronic recuperative heat exchange process (often referred to as a "wrap-around" loop) in combination with a supplemental heat source. This combination accommodates a variety of control strategies that enhances indoor air quality and optimizes energy efficiency. Some features of the method are:

• Maintain room at 45% RH and supply air at 70% RH to enhance indoor air quality even when handling 100% outside air.
• Various Applications including: Constant Air Volume, Variable Air Volume, Multizone, Multiple Reheat and/or Precooling Coils.
• Precise room air temperature and humidity control even when handling 100% outside air.
• Operation of the low horsepower pump will typically more than double room latent cooling.
• Stop the pump to maximize room sensible cooling capacity.
• Modulate the reheat coil by-pass valve for precise room and/or supply air control.
• Position reheat coil valve to by-pass position and use the precooling coil as a preheat coil for winter heating and/or coil freeze protection.
